General FAQs
What is Reboo?
Reboo is a Canadian platform that helps people buy and sell homes without using a real estate agent. We give you the tools, support, and step-by-step guidance you need to complete your real estate transaction independently—and save thousands in the process.
Is it legal to buy or sell a home without a realtor in Canada?
Yes! It’s 100% legal. Canadian homeowners are allowed to sell their property without using a licensed agent, and buyers can purchase directly as well. Reboo makes the process transparent, manageable, and fully compliant with local regulations.
Who is Reboo for?
Reboo is for anyone who wants to take control of their real estate journey—first-time buyers, experienced homeowners, investors, and anyone looking to save money and avoid the traditional agent model.
Do I get a ‘For Sale’ sign with Reboo?
Yes! When you list your property through Reboo, we’ll ship you a high-quality yard sign to place outside your home — just like a traditional agent would.
Costs & Savings
How much does Reboo cost?
Creating a listing with Reboo is a one-time fee of CAD$1499. There are no hidden charges or ongoing subscription fees. Buyers can use the platform completely free.
How much can I save in commission fees?
A traditional real estate sale in Canada typically costs 4–5% in commission. On a $700,000 home, that could be $28,000–$35,000. With Reboo, sellers keep that money—and buyers may benefit too, since prices often reflect those built-in fees.
Do buyers benefit from using Reboo too?
Absolutely. Even though the seller usually pays the agent commission, that cost is built into the home's price. When sellers list on Reboo, they can price more competitively—giving you more negotiating power and potential savings.
The Process
What if I’ve never bought or sold property before?
No problem. Reboo is built to guide you every step of the way. Whether you're listing your home or making an offer, you'll get plain-language instructions, helpful checklists, and access to templates and support.
How do negotiations work on Reboo?
Our app includes a secure messaging and proposal system. You can send or receive offers, include terms and conditions, and negotiate directly. Need to counter-offer? That’s built in too.
What happens when an offer is accepted?
Once you and the other party agree on the terms, Reboo helps you prepare the required documents. You’ll then complete the deal with a lawyer or notary in your province to make it official.
Coverage & Support
Does Reboo work across Canada?
Yes. Reboo supports buyers and sellers in every province, and we tailor key parts of the experience—like legal checklists—to local rules and regulations.
